2024 News
The August 2024 Newsletter will be hitting the mail come the first week of August. In this addition you will find the ticket form for our 80th Annual Meeting! We are excited to announce that we will be holding our annual meeting this year at the Lintner Conservation Education Farm. If you do not receive our newsletter and would like to join is for our Annual Meeting, please stop in the office or give us a call!! Election Election Notice The Ohio Soil and Water Conservation will cause an election of Supervisors of the Champaign Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) to be held in accordance with Chapter 940 of the Ohio Revised Code. Individuals who own or occupy land within the Champaign Soil and Water Conservation District and are 18 years of age or older may vote for Supervisor. There are three wats an eligible voter can cast a ballot: 1. At the SWCD office, 1512 US HWY 68 Suite E-100 Urbana, OH 43078, from 8/28/24 until 9/26/24 during normal business hours 8AM to 4PM; or 2. At the SWCD Annual Meeting, which will take place at 6666 Mechanicsburg-Catawba Rd Mechanicsburg, OH 43044 on 9/26/24 from 5:30 until 6PM; or 3. Voting absentee from 8/28/24 until 9/26/24, by requesting the ballot application and election ballot from the SWCD office at the following address 1512 US HWY 68 Suite E-100 Urbana, OH 43078, by calling 937-508-2350, or email [email protected]. Absentee ballots must be received by the SWCD office by 9/26/24 at 4PM. Champaign Supervisors will be elected to a three-year term commencing January 1, 2025, and ending December 31, 2027. Nominees are: 1. Justin Dagger 2. Todd Dallas 2025 Plat Books will be here in October!! Our 2025 edition of Plat Books will arrive in October!! Call the office to purchase your copy today, (937) 484-5527! They cost a flat rate of $25.00. Please have exact change or a check payable to the Champaign Soil and Water Conservation District. Credit and Debit not accepted. Thank you! We would like to send a big Thank you to Dawn Lusk for donating local photos used in the 2025 Plat Book. Upcoming Board Meetings Board meetings will be held at 9 a.m. in the office of Champaign SWCD.
